Casa do Norte is situated in the north, in the parish of Santa Barbara, on the northern slope of the island of Santa Maria and offers a dazzling view of the sea and the mountains. In this truly rural environment tranquillity and silence prevail in perfect harmony with nature.

In the surroundings, there are various tracks that allow for pleasant hiking excursions, one of which allows access to the bay of São Lourenço. It is one of the most beautiful coves in the archipelago, where it is possible during the summer to practise various aquatic activities or simply to dive into the clear and lukewarm waters of the sea.
